Hello, my name is Brenda, and this is my first blog.
This is all new to me, but I’m excited to start a new journey and share it with you.
I am 73 years old and have lived in Ontario most of my life, except for five years in Alberta. Almost three years ago, my husband and I made the move to New Brunswick. It was a big step for a senior couple, leaving behind friends and family. But in many ways, it wasn’t so different from packing up and heading to Alberta in the 1990s as a single mom with a five- and seven-year-old — again leaving friends and family behind.
Change has always been part of my life, but this chapter feels different.
I’ve been involved in the nutritional wellness space for over 40 years. Back then, everything was done face to face — conversations, education, and trust built one person at a time. Now it’s 2026, and so much happens online. That means I’m learning to change too. It’s scary, but doable. I truly believe you are in charge of your own destiny — cliché, I know, but still very true.
That brings me to the purpose of this website.
Over the years, I’ve seen many wellness trends come and go. Who doesn’t remember Atkins, garlic pills, kelp tablets, mega-doses of vitamins, liquid diets, egg diets, or “buy this supplement because you trust me and I’m a good salesperson”? I’ve lived through all of it.
What changed everything for me was moving away from guesswork and toward clarity — using testing to understand what was actually working in my body. That shift gave me confidence. It helped me feel encouraged, informed, and supported in my own health journey.
I’m not here to pressure anyone or promise quick fixes. I’m here to share what I personally trust and use, and to help others make informed choices for long-term wellness — with proof from testing that shows whether something is truly working.
Education first. Support always.
And that’s the end of my first blog in my 73 years. It just goes to show — you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Stay tuned.
